In the last two years
Ontario Lodge 2 has been working hard in their effort to increase its membership and to raise money for its treasury in order
that the lodge can continue to support charities as it has in the past. Recently
Morris Wilson, Lodge 2, Sergeant at Arms became the Lodge 2 Fundraising Chairman and has been very successful in his endeavors.
Morris Wilson was instrumental in obtaining a 5’ X 10’ Dog Kennel from Richard Adams, L Bar M Ranch Products
http://www.lbarmranch.com/ which was auctioned off at the 2010 California Biennial State Conference.
L Bar M ranch Products is known for making quality Custom Dog, Horse, and Exotic Animals Cages.
Morris Wilson was also
able to have two custom magazine racks made by Chuck the owner of Hacienda Woodworks & Design, 4750
Chino Ave # C, Chino, CA 909-591-5084 and the wood was donated by Parr Lumber, http://www.parrlumberchino.com/ in Chino, California.
One of the magazine racks was given to Chuck Canterbury, National President of
the Fraternal Order of Police at the 2010 California Biennial State Conference and the second magazine rack was auctioned
at the Conference.
The
Board of Directors of Lodge 2 would like to thank Tom Shoultz who was re-elected as the Lodge 2 Trustee. Tom
has devoted his time and wisdom to Lodge 2 from President and then as Lodge Trustee. Tom
received an award from President Mayberry for service as the Chairman of Trustees for the State Lodge from September 2005
thru September 2010. Lodge 2 would like to Congratulate Don Teagarden, Lodge 8 Trustee who was elected
as the New Chairman of Trustees at the 2010 California Biennial State Conference. While
at the California Biennial State Conference, the Board of Directors voted to donate $500.00 to the CA FOP State President
Roger Mayberry in his campaign for the National FOP Sergeant at Arms.
I am happy to report
that Lodge 2 Treasurer Jose Gonzalez was re-elected to CA FOP Sergeant at Arms, during the California Biennial State Conference.
I would also like to thank the Lodge 2 Board for all of their hard work and their
dedication to the FOP over the past years.
