Whereas: any regularly appointed or elected and full‐time
employed law enforcement officer of the United States, any state or political subdivision thereof or any agency may be eligible
for membership in the Fraternal Order of Police;
Whereas: the State Lodge and its Subordinate Lodges will not
participate in the decertification of recognized Law Enforcement Certified Bargaining Units and will encourage Local Lodge
members to support their Law Enforcement Certified Bargaining Unit in instances where it may not be the FOP Local Lodge.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the CAFOP or its Subordinate Lodges will not support any actions to decertify a Law
Enforcement Certified Bargaining Unit in California. Recommended by vote of the CAFOP Executive Board during the Conference Call on January 19, 2011.
